I am a staff photographer for The Herald-Sun, sharing stories and slices of life from the vibrant city of Durham, NC. I'm a proud North Carolina native and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I studied photojournalism and Spanish.

I have a deep love for visual storytelling, and I'm excited and inspired by the expanding opportunities for engaging multimedia journalism. I'm always searching for good conversation, strong coffee and a thirst for adventure.

My work has received recognition from both the Virginia Press Association and the Virginia News Photographers Association. "Facing Alzheimer's Decline," a video project I've worked on for several years, received first place for Online Video in the Virginia Press Association 2016 annual contest. In the Virginia News Photographers Association 2013 annual contest, my work placed first, second and third in the multimedia category.
